State Quality Awards
For Outstanding Performance in the California Department of Health Care Services annual Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) Measures for Medi-Cal Managed Care.
The Alliance has been consistently recognized as one of the top performing health plans in the state for providing high quality preventive and chronic disease health services to our Medi-Cal members. HEDIS rigorously measures the delivery of preventative care to children, women, and individuals with chronic disease.

For outstanding service and support in 2010 to Medi-Cal managed care plan members in partnership with the Medi-Cal Managed Care Office of the Ombudsman. - • 2007 – Silver Quality Award
For Outstanding Performance in the California Department of Health Care Services Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Survey for Medi-Cal Managed Care. The CAHPS survey measures customer service and member satisfaction with health plans. 2007 was the first year that CAHPS awards were presented, and the Alliance placed second in this important category

Workplace Awards

• 2013 – Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award
Californian Psychological Association (CPA) recognition as a “psychologically healthy workplace,” nominated by State Senator Bill Monning. -
• 2012 – Family Friendly Workplace Award with Breastfeeding Emphasis
Awarded by the United Way of Santa Cruz County Success by 6® and Santa Cruz County Breastfeeding Coalition for commitment in providing a family friendly workplace in Santa Cruz County. The Alliance received this award “for contributing to the overall health of the community and the balance of work and family by supporting parents' choice to provide their babies with mother’s own milk” in recognition of the Alliance’s maternity room which is available to Alliance moms expressing milk for their newborns.
Community and Food Drive Awards
Since 1997, the Alliance has participated in annual holiday food drives for Santa Cruz County, San Benito County, and Monterey County Food Banks, raising over 400,000 pounds of food in the process. We have been recognized by local food banks and the United Way for our robust employee fundraising campaign. The Alliance has won many awards for its contributions to these communities. Beginning in 2009, we also proudly partnered with the Merced County Food Bank.
The Alliance has received multiple United Way Gold Awards, a Corporate Spirit Award for 2011-2012, and numerous holiday food drive and corporate sponsor recognitions.
Green Business Certification

• 2008 – Green Business Certification Award
Awarded by Santa Cruz County, Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program for exceeding environmental regulatory requirements, preventing pollution, and conserving natural resources.
The Alliance became certified in October 2008 as a Monterey Bay Area Green Business. The Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program is a successful partnership of environmental agencies, utilities and non-profit organizations that assist, recognize and promote businesses and government agencies that volunteer to operate in a more environmentally responsible way. To be certified "green," participants must be in compliance with regulations and meet program standards for conserving resources, preventing pollution and minimizing waste.
